NOTICE OF UPCOMING WORK – Laneway south of Ridout Street

As part of Port Hope Area Initiative activities, CNL contractors will be performing field work using a laneway south of Ridout Street that runs west/east between Victoria Street South and Bramley Street South.

Trucks can be observed travelling the laneway to facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste to the long-term waste management facility.

This work will begin in January and continue through early March 2025. The laneway will remain open for abutting owners during this period.

Flaggers may be observed on Bramley Street South to assist with traffic control for turning trucks. Please be careful when travelling in the area and obey all posted signage.

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment while undertaking this community-requested solution to a longstanding environmental issue.
