As part of the Port Hope Area Initiative, Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) will continue to perform fieldwork within the Bruton Lane municipal road allowance.
To facilitate the safe excavation, truck loading and transportation of low-level radioactive waste, the eastern section of Bruton Lane will remain closed during the hours of 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. through the end of March 2025. Some overnight closures may also be required.
This section of Bruton Lane will not be open to any traffic except emergency vehicles and CNL will continue to work with abutting owners impacted by the closure.
Please be careful when travelling in the area and obey all posted signage.
Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is committed to the safety of the public, its workers and the environment while undertaking this community-requested solution to a longstanding environmental issue.
