As the world defines a new normal, a spark of hope can brighten our days. From encouraging posts on social media, to supporting our seniors and other vulnerable members of our society, to showcasing artistic talents in our windows for those who pass by, many people are finding ways to create a silver lining in these tumultuous times. Companies of all sizes are also doing their part to help their communities get through this pandemic, including CNL.
As a leading science and technology organization, CNL’s sites are home to unique and innovative facilities, laboratories, equipment and expertise. Every effort is being made to identify ways in which these unique capabilities can be used to help Canada respond to this pandemic, whether through the supply of much needed equipment, manpower or creative out-of-the-box thinking.
In Port Hope, where many of our staff live and work, a task force has sprung into action donating much needed gloves to Northumberland Hills Hospital (pictured at right, ready for pickup). While there is an immediate need for tangible items, there is also need for a wider look at how our employees can help either by providing ideas and possible solutions to longer term community issues.
CNL and its government client, Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) have openly thanked their employees for stepping up and going above and beyond to confront the challenges of these times, by responding to a new way of doing business while caring for those around us.
